Chuck Norris Was Not At Capitol Riot, Team Says

(PoliticalLookout)- After a photograph of a man at the January 6 Capitol Hill protest resembling martial artist and actor Chuck Norris appeared online, managers for the celebrity quickly scrambled to deny rumors that he was present.

The Republican star Walker, Texas Ranger, and movies like Delta Force, was not present at the riots and was reportedly at home on his range in Texas with family at the time.

“I recently learned there was a Chuck Norris lookalike at the DC Capitol riots. It wasn’t me and I wasn’t there,” Norris said.

“There is no room for violence of any kind in our society. I am and always will be for Law and Order. Your friend, Chuck Norris,” he added.

The Hollywood star’s manager Erik Kritzer also released a statement to the Associated Press saying that he was not at the protest.

“Chuck remains on his range in Texas where he has been with his family,” Kritzer explained.

His manager also recognized that the photo does look like Norris, but that “Chuck is much more handsome.”

You can see the viral Tweet that caused the entire controversy below.

It really does look like him!

It was always a far-fetched idea that Norris would have attended a rally like that, or especially been involved with a violent contingent of the rally, but his support for President Donald Trump is well documented.

Norris threw his weight behind the Republican candidate during the 2016 campaign and has remained a Republican ever since.

A peaceful protest erupted into violence on Capitol Hill on Wednesday, January 6, the day that Congress voted on the Electoral College results. President Donald Trump repeatedly called for the protest to be peaceful, as he has done at every single Trump rally and Republican protest in the past.
