FBI Officials Don’t Think Hunter Biden’s Emails Part Of Russian Disinformation Campaign

(PoliticalLookout.com)- Hunter Biden’s laptop is currently in the possession of the FBI, which is poring through it to verify its contents and see if there are any determinantal things on it.

The laptop in question allegedly contains emails that show that Joe Biden was intricately involved in his son’s business dealings with foreign companies while Joe was serving as the vice president.

Two officials within the senior administration team said the FBI recovered Hunter Biden’s laptop. The department hasn’t confirmed or denied whether it was conducting an official investigation, but the senior administration officials believe the FBI as well as Department of Justice agree with John Ratcliffe’s statement that the laptop is “not part of a Russian disinformation campaign.”

Ratcliffe, the director of national intelligence, said on Monday that he didn’t believe claims that Adam Schiff, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, made that the emails were a smear campaign “from the Kremlin.”

In response to that, Ratcliffe said:

“Let me be clear: the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that. And we have shared no intelligence with Adam Schiff, or any member of Congress.”

He added that Schiff’s claims are “simply not true.”

Fox News reported that the FBI sent a letter to Ron Johnson, the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, that said the FBI has “nothing to add at this time to the October 19th public statement by the Director of National Intelligence about the available actionable intelligence.”

The letter continued:

“If actionable intelligence is developed, the FBI in consultation with the Intelligence Community will evaluate the need to provide defensive briefings to you and the Committee pursuant to the established notification framework.”

Last week, the New York Post published a story that went into depth about emails that purportedly suggest that Hunter Biden introduced his father Joe to an adviser at a Ukrainian firm, Burisma Holdings. That meeting apparently took place in 2015 when Biden was serving as vice president.

The emails in question came from a laptop that was dropped off at a Delaware computer repair shop in April 2019. No one ever came back to pick up that laptop, though.

The owner of the computer repair shop then made a copy of the hard drive and sent it in to authorities.

Fox News has reported that a senior official with a federal law enforcement agency said the emails were indeed “authentic.”

The Fox News report also went into depth about the owner of that computer repair shop, John Paul Mac Isaac. FBI documents have shown that he was subpoenaed to testify before a U.S. District Court in Delaware on December 9, 2019. FBI documents also apparently include serial numbers for the laptop and a hard drive that the agency has recovered.

The saga of Hunter Biden’s business foreign dealings and his father’s potential involvement in them has been ongoing for some time now. As the presidential election inches closer, it could end up proving to hurt Joe Biden’s run.
