(PoliticalLookout.com)- As the possibility of Joe Biden becoming the next president of the United States remain very much on the table, House Democrats have already begun drafting up an amnesty plan that they expect him to sign within weeks of taking the office. The plan would give citizenship to more than 22 million illegal aliens that are believed to be living in the United States right now.
Joe Biden has already promised that within the first 100 days of his presidency he would put legislation to the Senate that would offer illegal aliens a pathway to citizenship – another reason why the Republicans need to fight hard to maintain both Senate seats in the runoff election in Georgia on January 5.
According to a report from Politico, Democratic Rep. Linda Sanchez of California is leading the charge in drafting an amnesty plan that they believe Biden would endorse.
In the piece, Politico also explains how open borders advocates are also pushing Biden to go beyond his promise to give amnesty to all illegal aliens but to also stop every single deportation for at least 100 days. It would allow enough time for all illegal aliens currently in the United States to take advantage of a new amnesty bill that, they hope, would be passed within those 100 days.
It would also mean that criminal illegal aliens would not be deported from the country, and could potentially also gain amnesty.
Rewarding criminals…how exactly did this become a winning policy again?
Biden committed to the plan on NBC recently.
“I made a commitment, in the first 100 days, I will send an immigration bill to the United States Senate with a pathway to citizenship for over 11 million undocumented people in American,” Biden said.
His numbers, however, were off. According to a 2018 study from Yale, there are more than twice as many illegal aliens than the 11 million figure that has been claimed by the Democrats for several years.
Biden is also reportedly being encouraged to end President Trump’s travel ban, which stopped employment-based immigration during the pandemic and also ended immigration from countries heavily involved with terrorism.
It sounds like a Biden administration is pretty much a return to the Obama administration, but this time, he’s going hard on granting citizenship to millions more people who will become natural Democrat voters.
