Legendary Golfer Jack Nicklaus ENDORSES Trump, Encourages Voters To Look Past Personality

(PoliticalLookout.com)- Legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus, arguably the most famous golfer in the world, publicly endorsed President Donald Trump in a public statement released on Wednesday. The late-stage endorsement shows just how concerned the golfer appears to be about the prospect of a Biden win.

Nicklaus encouraged people to look past personalities and consider the strengths of the president on their own.

“Through the years, I have been blessed to personally know several Presidents on both sides of the aisle,” he said. “All were good people. All loved their country. And all believed n the American dream.”

Nicklaus said that he’s also had the privilege to get to known President Donald Trump over the last three and a half years, and that he is disappointed to see what he has had to put up with “from many directions.”

“But with that, I have seen a resolve and a determination to do the right thing for our country,” he added. “He has delivered n his promises. He’s worked for the average person. In my opinion, he has been more diverse than any President I have seen and has tried to help people from all walks of life-equally.”

Nicklaus acknowledged that people “might not like the way our President says or tweets some things,” and said that he has reminded the president of that. But, he also said he has learned to look past it and “

“This is not a personality contest; it’s about patriotism, policies and the people they impact. His love for America and its citizens, and putting his country first, has come through loud and clear,” he added. “How he has said it has not been important to me. What has been important are his actions. Now, you have the opportunity to take action.”

Nicklaus tweeted his statement and told people, “Get out and vote. I did!”

President Donald Trump retweeted the post, responding, “Jack, this is a Great Honor. Thank you!”

The 80-year-old golfer has won more championships than any other golfer in all of history and is third in terms of career wins. It’s by no means a small endorsement and one that might help Trump win over voters concerned about his attitude or willingness to engage in fights on Twitter.
