Nancy Pelosi Loses It With Wolf Blitzer In Angry, Confused CNN Rant

( Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi lost her cool during an interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN on Tuesday, getting confused and ranting angrily over her refusal to negotiate with the Republicans on a new coronavirus relief package. During the interview, Pelosi accused Blitzer – who is far from a supporter of the president – of being an “apologist for the Republican position.”

Pelosi got angry when Blitzer repeatedly pressed her on the issue of the COVID stimulus bill, reminding her that many Americans are suffering because of the economic fallout caused by lockdown.

The interview (or argument) went on for over ten minutes, and it’s a difficult watch.

Blitzer noted how Pelosi had written to her Congressional colleagues that the president just wants to put his name on a check that would go out before election day, suggesting that Pelosi was putting electioneering ahead of the needs of the American people.

“Is that what this is all about?” Blitzer asked. “To not allow the president to take credit that there’s a deal that will help millions of Americans right now?”

Pelosi walked back her comments, saying, “I don’t care about that” and “He’s not that important.”

And, as Pelosi got increasingly angry, she told Blitzer, “you really don’t know what you’re talking about.”

At this point, Blitzer said that there are many Americans who need help and that members of her own caucus want to accept the $1.8 trillion deal that is already on the table and supported by Republicans.

“What I say to you is, I don’t know, you’re always an apologist,” and angry Pelosi said. “And many of your colleagues, apologists for the Republican position.”

Pelosi has put forward her own partisan legislation with the help of her Congressional Democratic colleagues which includes provisions for giving illegal aliens free money. The highly partisan bill also includes green measures that have no relation to COVID-19 at all.

Then, Pelosi proved that she really does care about the president being able to take credit.

“It’s no use giving them a false thing just because the president wants to put a check with his name on it in the mail that we should not be doing all we can to help people pay the rent,” Pelosi said.

Pelosi did not describe which part of the $1.8 trillion deal offered by the Republicans is “fake.”
