Private Gyms For POLITICIANS And Gov Workers Are Open In SF, But NOT For Citizens

(PoliticalLookout.com)- Just a week after Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was exposed for her hypocrisy over lockdown and the mask mandate, when she was caught on camera getting her hair done at a San Francisco salon, private gym owners have hit out after learning that politicians like her can still go to the gym.

Gym owners in the city are angry after discovering that private gyms in government buildings, frequented by politicians and government workers, have been open for a while now despite the rest of the city being told to stay at home.

Speaking to NBC Bay Area, Daniele Rabkin of Crossfit Golden Gate said that learning how politicians could go to the gym while regular people couldn’t angered her, given how hard she has tried to keep her business afloat during the prolonged lockdown.

“It’s shocking, it’s infuriating,” she said. “Even though they’re getting exposed, there are no repercussions, no ramifications? It’s shocking.”

The discovery was made when Rabkin, in the spirit of community, reached out to police officers to tell them they could use her facility to work out. At this point they informed her they were already able to do so at the SFPD Northern District Police Station gym, and that the Hall of Justice Gym. The latter has been open and frequented by government workers since the beginning of July.

Meanwhile, other businesses throughout San Francisco are ordered to remain locked down for what seems like forever.

Another gym owner in the area, Dave Karraker, said that the revelations demonstrate a “double standard between what city employees are allowed to do and what the residents of San Francisco are allowed to do.”

“What the city has unwillingly done is created this great case study that says that working out indoors is actually safe,” Karraker, the owner of MX3 Fitness, added. “So at this point, we’re ust demanding that they allow us to have the same workout privileges for the citizens of San Francisco that the employees of San Francisco have.”

It doesn’t sound like too much of an ask, does it? Many states already allow people to attend the gym, including New York…albeit with a mask on the entire time. Over the Atlantic in the United Kingdom, people have been allowed to attend gyms for two months now, and without requiring people to wear masks.

So what excuse to Democrats in San Francisco still have to force people to work out at home?

Gyms in San Francisco are expected to stay shut until at least the end of September, but who knows if they’ll extend it?
