Revealed: Obama’s SECRET Views About the Democratic Primary

(PoliticalLookout.com) – Isn’t it interesting how former President Barack Obama hasn’t offered an endorsement for Joe Biden, the man who served as vice president through both terms of his administration?

The former president hasn’t offered his endorsement of any candidate publicly, sparking speculation that he doesn’t really believe Biden is the right man for the job. And boy, is Biden suffering for it. Obama’s endorsement might be the final thing he needs to get back into the race against socialist Bernie Sanders, but up until now, we haven’t known very much about Obama’s views on the race.

Except, of course, his negative feelings about sanders.

A new report from New York Magazine, written by Gabriel Debenedetti, offers the first major look into Obama’s views on the race.

Debenedetti claims that Obama is keeping quiet to provide a calming, reasoned voice of authority in the event of a brokered convention.

He writes:

“The truth of Obama’s silence on the 2020 primary is that it’s not just about his obvious wish to stay out of the spotlight, but it also reflects a choreographed strategy. With the race looking more and more likely to grow bitter and messy, and maybe even wind up in a contested convention, the former president and those around him are increasingly sure he will need to play a prominent role in bringing the party back together and calming its tensions later this summer, including perhaps in Milwaukee, where the party’s meeting is scheduled to be held in July.”

Debenedetti also explains that Obama is willing to endorse any candidate that wins the race because he knows their values will more reflect his than Trump’s. However, Obama reportedly reminds anybody who asks that he will not speak up “unless he feels compelled to make any specific, candidate-neutral points to ensure Democrats win in November.”

A friend who heard Obama’s reasoning, according to Debenedetti, said, “There is no way Barack Obama is intervening, unless something very strange happens…He just doesn’t have that in him.”

The NY Mag report says that even if Obama felt like he needed to speak out against Bernie Sanders, he knows that it would immediately turn him into a target for the left.

That’s right. Barack Obama is scared of the woke crowd turning on him if he admits he isn’t a socialist. Ouch!

Interestingly, the report details Obama’s views on Elizabeth Warren that might shed light on why he hasn’t expressed support for his pal Biden.

“Last year he said he’d been impressed with Warren, with whom he had a rocky relationship as president, and who – like Sanders – criticized his paid speaking gigs soon after he left office.”

None of the candidates have directly asked the former president for his endorsement yet, but Biden is no doubt itching to!

Barack Obama can’t be looking forward to endorsing Bernie Sanders in a few months’ time…
