(PoliticalLookout.com)- In case you haven’t heard, an armed gang of Antifa and Black Lives Matter “protesters” (or terrorists, depending how you look at it) seized a section of Seattle, erected borders, and claimed it as an “autonomous zone.” Protesters destroyed buildings and hotels within their new autonomous zone, set up makeshift farms on small fields, and started requesting people bring in supplies to support them.
This is what rioters did to the Minneapolis Sheraton they took over after the riots. This was converted to their “sanctuary.” They raised hundreds of thousands through crowdfunding to support the illegal occupation. #BlackLivesMatter pic.twitter.com/GDYvNRmYi2

The activists have warded off the police using guns and arms – things they usually oppose – and have been seen arguing in the streets about how their new government will work. It is an attempt at establishing a microstate within the United States and while it’s unlikely to last long before the military sweeps in tackles the problem, it’s definitely more serious than a “block party.” But the city’s mayor doesn’t think so.
During an interview with Chris Cuomo on CNN on Thursday, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan said there are four blocks in the city with a “block party atmosphere” and that she thinks it could lead to a “summer of love.”
“We’ve got four blocks in Seattle that you just saw pictures of what is more like a block party atmosphere. It’s not an armed takeover,” she said, overlooking the fact that they have established borders manned by armed men and women. “It’s not a military junta. We will make sure that we can restore this, but we have block parties and the like in this part of Seattle all the time. It’s known for that.”
If you didn’t realize already, Mayor Durkan is a Democrat.
Protesters have taken over municipal buildings, trashed private property, and are resisting arrest. Despite this, when Cuomo asked Mayor Durkan how long she thinks Seattle and these four blocks may look like this, she indicated that she may allow it to go on for many months more.
“We could have the summer of love,” she said.
Let’s see how long it takes before President Donald Trump sends in the military.
