(PoliticalLookout.Com)- Court documents that were released on Thursday implicate former President Barack Obama in the setup of former National Security Adviser General Michael Flynn. The documents prove that Barack Obama was very aware of the details of a call made between then-Russian Ambassador Sergei Kislyak, and Michael Flynn. At the time, Flynn was preparing to become President Trump’s National Security Adviser.
Since then, the contents of the call have been at the center of a large controversy, with Flynn having been accused of lying about the contents of the call and admitting to lying to the FBI after being encouraged to do so.
Whether or not former President Barack Obama knew the exact details of the call have long been debated, but the documents prove he knew exactly what was going on…and may have been able to shed light on the case that nearly falsely imprisoned Flynn.
It means that President Barack Obama is confirmed as a central actor in the efforts made by his administration to target Flynn in a case that has now been dropped by the Justice Department. Flynn was initially appointed by Barack Obama as. The director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, but was later fired by the left-wing president. Obama then advised incoming President Donald Trump not to hire him.
Trump didn’t take his bad advice.
The documents show that on January 5, 2017, a meeting in the Oval Office with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, National Intelligence Director James Clapper, CIA Director John Brennan, Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and FBI Director James Comey took place. Obama is understood to have asked Comey and yates to stay in the meeting, at which point he told them he’d “learned of the information about Flynn.”
Obama told the government officials that he knew about his conversation with the Russian ambassador and that they discussed the sanctions that were put in place by the Obama administration.
President Obama then said that while he didn’t want to be given any further information about the conversation, he did want advice about “whether the White House should be treating Flynn any differently.”
The documents show that Deputy Attorney General Yates didn’t know what the president was talking about initially, but gathered what was going on based on what Obama said to her. Yates recalled Comey mentioning the Logan Act, according to the court documents, but couldn’t remember if he specified anything about an investigation.

Not only did the documents show that Obama was aware of what happened, but they also showed how the FBI under Obama justified the investigation into Flynn in the first place. The corrupt FBI explained how Flynn was “cited as an adviser to the Trump team on foreign policy issues February 2016,” that he has “ties to various state-affiliated entities of the Russian Federation,” and that he “travelled to Russia in December 2015.”
After the Department of Justice dropped the case, following the shocking revelations that the FBI and prosecutors coerced Flynn to lie, President Donald Trump has yet to decide whether he will issue a full pardon. Even though Flynn is free, a vengeful Democratic president in the future could still reopen the case – regardless of the fact it has zero merit.
