(PoliticalLookout.com)- Washington, D.C. saw some brutal violence and destruction over the weekend. Far-left agitators, Black Lives Matter activists, Antifa, and Democrat voters took to the streets to viciously attack innocent people, loot and destroy stores, and even burn down St. John’s Episcopal Church.
On Monday, President Donald Trump announced that he would use his power as president to deploy the military to the streets of U.S. cities to control the violence if the governors don’t. On the same day, he deployed the National Guard into the nation’s capital and it proved successful.
The National Guard arrived in Washington, D.C. on Monday night after President Trump relieved Democratic Mayor of D.C. Muriel Bowser of her command of law enforcement. After days of inaction, with the police completely underresourced and not given the support they needed, the National Guard stopped arsonists from destroying buildings, arrested violent protesters, and stopped people looting.
On Tuesday, the president praised the work by the National Guard, declaring on Twitter that D.C. had “no problems” overnight.
D.C. had no problems last night. Many arrests. Great job done by all. Overwhelming force. Domination. Likewise, Minneapolis was great (thank you President Trump!).

“Many arrests. Great job done by all. Overwhelming force. Domination. Likewise, Minneapolis was great (thank you President Trump!)” he added.
After the chaos in the city was quelled and the streets made safe, you’d think that Mayor Muriel Bowser would be pleased…but she wasn’t.
“I imposed a curfew at 7pm,” she said on Twitter. “A full 25 minutes before the curfew & w/o provocation, federal police used munitions on peaceful protesters in front of the White House, an act that will make the job of @DCPoliceDept officers more difficult. Shameful!”
Bowser was repeating the same line that every other Democratic politician in the country repeated when they learned that the law enforcement officers cleared a crowd of protesters from Lafayette Square before President Trump walked from the White House to St. John’s Episcopal Church.
Police officers warned protesters three times over loudspeaker to disperse, and when they didn’t, force was used to clear the way. The Democrats have ignored that fact, however, because it doesn’t fit their narrative.

DC residents — Go home. Be safe

Isn’t it amazing how politicians like Bowser can see peaceful streets after days of violence, and consider it a political opportunity?
