(PoliticalLookout.com) – Will President Donald Trump and Fake News CNN journalist Jim Acosta ever get along?
The president seemingly can’t escape the snarky tones of Jim Acosta and remains as annoyed by his reporting as ever, after the pair clashed during a press conference in India. Acosta had questions about the upcoming election and even the president’s recent appointment of the first openlygay cabinet member in history, Richard Grenell.
“Can you pledge to the American people that you will not accept any foreign assistance in the upcoming election?” Acosta asked the president. The question is a cunning one as if the President makes the commitment, it makes him appear guilty. If the president didn’t answer the question, it makes it look like he has something to hide. So the president didn’t fall for the trip and instead chose to call out Acosta and CNN for their on-off relationship with the truth.
“First of all, I want no help from any country,” Trump began. “And I haven’t been given help from any country, and if you see what CNN, your wonderful network, said, I guess they apologized in a way for – didn’t they apologize for the fact that they said certain things that weren’t true? Tell me, what was their apology yesterday? What did they say?”

Trump’s comments were in reference to reports made by CNN that President Vladimir Putin of Russia was trying to assist President Trump in his re-election campaign. Those inaccurate claims were later walked back by the network.
Acosta, never one to back down either, responded, “Mr President, I think our record on delivering the truth is a lot better than yours sometimes if you don’t mind me saying.”
The President did mind, snapping back, “Let me tell you about your record – your record is so bad, you ought to be ashamed of yourself.”
Acosta, not knowing when to finish, claimed he was “not ashamed of anything,” before the President told him “You probably have the worst record in the history of broadcasting.”
Is he wrong? CNN has repeatedly pushed false claims about Russia’s alleged involvement in the 2016 elections – claims that were later found to be untrue. Robert Mueller’s investigation found zero evidence of any connection between the Trump campaign and Russia.
CNN just never learns.
