(PoliticalLookout.com)- The woke mob has taken yet another scalp, and this one’s a big one. Princeton University has officially announced that the name of President Woodrow Wilson will be removed from their public policy school, as well as their residential college, because of his “racist thinking.”
Honestly, it’s like none of these people realize that times were once different. Has anybody ever felt incited to commit racist acts because Woodrow Wilson’s name was used at a Princeton residential college? Honest question.
“The trustees conclude that Woodrow Wilson’s racist thinking and policies make him an inappropriate namesake for a school or college whose scholars, students, and alumni must firmly stand against racism in all forms,” the university announced on Saturday.
“Wilson’s racism was significant and consequential even by the standards of his own time,” the statement continued. “He segregated the federal civil service after it had been racially integrated for decades, thereby taking America backward in its pursuit of justice.”
Again, who exactly is holding up Wilson as a moral standard these days?
The board voted to change the name of the Wilson College and the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs on Friday, making Princeton just one in a long list of prestigious American schools kowtowing to the extremist left-wing mob.
The Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs will now simply be called the…Princeton School of Public and International Affairs.
Wilson College will have a different fate. The university was already reportedly planning on closing the school down, but in order to appease the mob, they will “accelerate retirement of the name” so that the students still attending the school will not have to “identify with the name of a racist president for the next two years.”
Imagine attending one of the most expensive and prestigious schools in the world and your biggest problem is that the man your school is named after would be considered racist by modern standards. The Wilson College, in its last years of existence, will just be called the “First College.”
